Google Partners With Sony and Logitech for First Google TV Devices

Google has announced Google TV, a convergence technology which makes it easy to deliver video and photos from the web to your television.
Google TV is a new experience for television that combines the TV that you already know with the freedom and power of the Internet. With Google Chrome built in, you can access all of your favorite websites and easily move between television and the web. This opens up your TV from a few hundred channels to millions of channels of entertainment across TV and the web. Your television is also no longer confined to showing just video. With the entire Internet in your living room, your TV becomes more than a TV - it can be a photo slideshow viewer, a gaming console, a music player and much more.
Google released a video that explains how the Internet is changing what we watch. It also explains how Google TV works. Google calls it an entertainment hub that helps you find Internet video content and deliver it to your television. Google TV will come built-in on some new TVs. It will also be available as a separate box to work with current tv that has an HDMI input. Google has partered with Sony and Logitech for the launch. The first Google TV devices will go on sale this fall, and will be available at Best Buy stores.
